Do I Qualify?
We cater to individuals residing in Oregon (no out-of-state) with pets who are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, sudden incarceration, sudden hospitalization, or displacement due to natural disaster or fire, and have no other option for their pets but to surrender them to a shelter. We should be a last resort after all other avenues are exhausted. We prioritize our clients by 1-urgency of circumstances and 2-compatibility with foster.
We understand that people from all social classes and incomes need help with their pets when certain, sometimes sudden circumstances happen, and we are here to provide help to all, as long as we are able. Not everyone will qualify for free services. Our mission is to serve the most underprivileged groups in our communities. To qualify for free services, you must be very low income, which means you must make 30% or less of the median household income in your area. Please check this chart to see if you qualify for free services:

For those who do not qualify for free services, we offer a sliding scale rate for fostering your pet during your time of need. Those who can take advantage of our sliding scale are the same as listed above, but with an income above the poverty line. Depending on your income, you will pay 10% of our cost and no service fee, 25% or 50% of our cost plus a $35 service fee, or 100% of our cost plus a $50 service fee. The cost is $40/day for dogs and $20/day for cats. Please reach out to discuss your situation by phone or email, or fill out a Sliding Scale Application form found here on our website on the first page or in the 'contracts and forms' section, and we will be in touch.
